Surgeon, director of Rivne City Clinical Hospital

Yurii Ordynskyi is the director of the Central City Hospital of the Rivne City Council and a specialist in the fields of surgery, ultrasound diagnostics and healthcare management. He holds a PhD in Medical Sciences and a Master’s degree in Public Management and Administration from the National Academy of Public Administration under the President of Ukraine — where his Master’s thesis focused on public-private partnerships in the healthcare system — and has completed a pre-MBA course at the MIM-Kyiv Business School. He received his medical education at the I.Y. Gorbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University, from which he graduated with distinction. Throughout his career, Yuriy has held clinical and managerial positions in both public and private healthcare institutions — ranging from laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery to roles as Medical Director of Surgery at hospitals in Rivne and Odesa. From 2021 to 2024, he headed the Regional Centre for Emergency Surgery and Coloproctology at the Rivne Regional Clinical Hospital. Since 2018, he has served as an expert adviser to the Health Department of the Rivne Regional State Administration on matters relating to surgery and related specialities, and has also contributed to the development of a long-term vision for the future of healthcare in Ukraine within the framework of the Ukrainian Institute of the Future.
