Robocode

At the Robocode booth, children, parents, and everyone interested will have the opportunity to dive into the exciting world of robotics and programming. The following activities await you:

· Interactive introduction to robots: everyone will be able to interact directly with robots, explore their capabilities, and learn how they work.
· Robot demonstrations: Robocode will showcase various robot models in action so you can experience innovation firsthand.
· Electronics workshop: children and adults are invited to try building electronic circuits and simple robotic devices.
· Robot sumo competitions: feel the spirit of competition while watching robots battle in exciting matches.

Main Astronomical Observatory of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine

During the event, you’ll be able to observe the Sun through a special telescope equipped with a protective filter. Participants will see sunspots on the Sun’s surface and learn more about solar activity and solar flares.

Ukraine Robotics

UkraineRobotics is a Ukrainian startup that creates innovative robots for STEM education and everyday life. The team’s flagship product is the KULYA transforming robot, which combines engineering, technology, and art to make robotics more accessible and engaging for children and adults alike.

The team promotes the idea of “robots as friends” and helps introduce the world of technology even to those who previously had no interest in it. During the event, participants will not only be able to see KULYA in person but also control the robot themselves.

A stork on its nest — and thousands of people watching live. This isn’t National Geographic. This is Poltava region. And right now, thousands of people are following the life of one stork family.

Anatoliy Podobaylo will share how the YouTube channel “Stork Hryts’ko” came to be: what goes into round-the-clock observation, what scientific value it holds, and how a live stream became a tool for fundraising. He’ll also talk about how a single camera above a nest can change the community around it.

Anatoliy will speak about the role of nature reserves and what modern science knows about storks — their behaviour, migrations, and why their well-being serves as an indicator of the health of entire ecosystems.

The human body evolved for one world, yet we now live in a very different one. Chronic stress, changes in nutrition, physical inactivity, environmental factors, and constant overload affect our hormones, metabolism, and the aging process.

In this talk, Maryna Bobryk will explain why diabetes and obesity are increasingly being recognized as a combined condition known as diabesity, how these disorders are often associated with thyroid dysfunction, and why they have become a major global health challenge. She will also discuss how metabolic health influences longevity and what modern medicine already knows about healthy aging, lifespan extension, and the prevention of metabolic disorders.

Prateek explores how microtechnology is reshaping biomedical research and clinical diagnostics, from organ-on-chip platforms that recreate human tissue physiology to femtomolar-scale biosensors capable of detecting disease before symptoms appear.

Currently building the omics platform Proteins.1, and previously founded and scaled organ-chip company Akita, Prateek will share how engineering at the micro- and nanoscale is collapsing the gap between the lab bench and the patient bedside.

In this workshop, we’ll explore which examples from popular science fiction are best suited for children of different ages and how to connect them to school subjects. The workshop will last 60 minutes and will include both theoretical and practical components. Led by Polina Limina—director of INSCIENCE and author of educational programs for educators titled “How to Organize a STEAM Event in Your Community” and “Scientific DIY.” *By prior registration and application screening. The workshop is being implemented in partnership with the University of St. Andrews (Scotland).

What does it mean to transplant a heart in a country at war?

In her talk, Sofiia Chaikovska will share how the team at the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine is not merely keeping pace in wartime conditions — but achieving results that stand out on a global scale. Sofia’s talk is about how science and medicine keep advancing even when circumstances seem impossible.

Among the key topics: the challenges facing transplantology today — from the shortage of donor organs to the logistics of operating under war. And alongside those challenges, breakthroughs that are reshaping transplantation in Ukraine: how the team has significantly extended the viable transport time for donor organs, making it possible to save patients who previously could not have been saved, and the first experience in Ukraine of transporting donor organs by military drone. This is a unique project with no parallel in Ukraine — and arguably anywhere in the world.

It is about the specific decisions, trade-offs, and mistakes involved in turning complex knowledge into something a person actually wants to watch or read. All three participants approach this from very different directions: through a book, through film, through direct engagement with audiences. That difference is the point — not one recipe, but several distinct routes to the same destination.
